Heedong Goh joined Seoul National University as an assistant professor in 2024. His primary research interests include wave mechanics and inverse problems. An avid birder, he maintains a life list of over 120 species.
Ahyeon Seo joined the Structural Analysis Research Group at Seoul National University as a combined master's and Ph.D. student in 2025. Her research focuses on both linear wave phenomena and collective nonlinear wave behaviors using computational mechanics approaches. Additionally, she has worked on developing a Bayesian Neural Network (BNN) to predict ground amplification factors.
She often captures impressions of everyday landscapes through painting and plays the violin as a member of an amateur orchestra.
I entered the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering as an undergraduate student in 2019. I am interested in structural analysis and design, so I am focusing on these areas in my studies. As a hobby, I play the bass guitar and enjoy sports such as skiing.
Hi! My name is Lee Seung Gyu. In the summer of 2025, I interned at the Structural Analysis Lab. I’m an undergraduate student at Seoul National University, pursuing a double major in Civil & Environmental Engineering and Artificial Intelligence. Off the clock, I enjoy playing table tennis and cooking—especially creating experimental dishes that mostly fail, but occasionally turn out great.
I am an undergraduate student at Seoul National University, double majoring in Civil & Environmental Engineering and Food Biotechnology Engineering. I am interested in structural analysis and its applications. Outside of academics, I enjoy playing badminton and discovering new flavors and dishes.
I am an undergraduate student at Seoul National University, double-majoring in Civil and Environmental Engineering and Artificial Intelligence. I joined the lab to deepen my understanding of structural analysis. Currently, I am interested in wave mechanics and metamaterials. In my free time, I enjoy playing table tennis and watching volleyball and movies.
I joined the Structural Analysis Research Group in December 2025 as an undergraduate research intern. My research interests focus on wave-structure interaction and Perfectly Matched Layers (PML). Apart from my academic work, my hobbies include baseball and singing.
I am an undergraduate student at Seoul National University, majoring in Civil & Environmental Engineering. My primary academic focus is structural analysis, with a particular concentration on Finite Element Analysis. I enjoy listening to jazz, reading Thomas Mann, and playing the piano occasionally.
I started my journey at Seoul National University in 2023, majoring in Civil and Environmental Engineering. I’ve developed a real interest in metamaterials, so I joined a research lab as an undergraduate intern. In my free time, I enjoy film photography and watching movies.
Hello, my name is Ha Gyubong. I am an undergraduate student in the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, and I am also double majoring in Civil Engineering due to my growing interest in the field. With a strong focus on structural engineering, I decided to join the lab in March 2026. I pursued this internship to move beyond foundational studies and experience how actual research is conducted, while also identifying areas where I need further academic growth. Beyond my studies, I have a passion for acquiring knowledge in various fields. My hobby is watching movies, and I particularly enjoy the experience of watching them alone at the cinema.
